Maddocks Workplace

For their Melbourne workplace, Maddocks offers an open work environment, designed to nurture both the collaborative and focused work styles of Maddocks' legal staff. Designed by Bates Smart, the design is impressive and innovative, featuring a dramatic staircase and two-storey wintergarden that significantly enhances staff amenity.

In line with Maddock’s vision and workspace strategy, Bates Smart’s workplace design is focused on improving staff productivity, flexibility and collaboration, while maintaining a key focus on wellbeing.

A highly transparent approach optimises connectivity and encourages collaboration. Views and quality of light are shared, aided by full-height glazing. The exceptional amenities include a barista bar, client working lounge and triple height void, which is dedicated to staff, encouraging work and meetings away from desks and in a more relaxed environment.

Featured in their meeting room are the MORPH chairs, designed by Formstelle for Zeitraum and the CHESHIRE table lamp, designed by Gamfratesi for FontanaArte.

Winner of the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2017 in the Workplace over 1,000sqm category.
