Continuing to challenge the evolution of the corporate workspace, Carr delivers their Red Energy Melbourne project. Working from a brief to ‘create a highly progressive and dynamic hub within the heritage listed and iconic Bryant and May factory in Cremorne’.
The design response was inspired by their commitment to recognise and respect the historic importance of the structure. Carr essentially created a sculptural insert with an internal form detached from the main building form to expose the existing features of the space including the truss ceiling and original windows.
The space accommodates for over 1000 employees across varying types of work spaces from highly flexible to fixed. Design Nation helped to achieve this by providing the adaptable Pure Loop Binuance chairs.
