The Buena

The popular Buena Vista Hotel in Mosman has re-opened as The Buena (renamed as the locals have always affectionately known it) with new owners and a major refurbishment fit-out, designed by SJB and Tess Regan Design. It’s French bistro meets pared back, refined, Scandinavian design.

The Buena provides comfort food and craft beer on tap in a spacious, stylish corner pub with a leafy beer garden. With its soft hues, The Buena feels exactly how a pub in Mosman should – iconic, quality-driven, rich in detail and full of character. The spaces include a timber and leather panelled public bar that has been restored to the original layout, a new glass conservatory extension that houses Bistro Moncur, a wine bar with views into the theatre of the kitchen and a rooftop restaurant under a glass canopy.

This is an Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2017 shortlisted project under the Hospitality category. Award-winners will be announced on 24 November 2017.
